Equestrian Life Showing Qualifiers - start 9.30- Judge- Mr Barry Bickley

1. Ridden Hunter
- For horses 148cms and over.

2. Best Ridden Horse - For horses 148cms and over.

3. Ridden Cob - For horses 148cms and over.

4. Ridden Coloured - any height.

5. Lead Rein Pony - Open to ponies not exc. 122cms, mare or gelding, four years and over.
Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday on 1st January in the current year. To be led by an attendant aged 14 years and over. To be shown in
snaffle bridle, lead rein to be attached to the noseband not to the bit.
The Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony may qualify
from this class, qualifier card to be presented to the judge in the ring for signing.

6. First Ridden Pony - Open to ponies not exceeding 128cms, mares or geldings, four years old and over.
Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday on the first January in the current year. To be shown in any suitable snaffle bridle.

Member/Registered Horse/Pony may qualify from this class, qualifier card to be presented to the judge in the ring for signing.

7. Best Ridden Pony - Open to ponies exceeding 128cms but not exceeding 148cms, mares or geldings, four years old and over.
Riders any age but to be a suitable size and weight for the pony - NO MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND PONIES ALLOWED IN THIS CLASS.

8. Ridden Mountain & Moorland Small and Large breeds - Riders to be a suitable size and weight for the pony. LEAD REIN PONIES NOT PERMITTED.

9. Ridden Veteran Horse/Pony - Open to horses and ponies, mare or gelding 15 years and over.

10. Concours d'elegance - to be ridden astride or side saddle. Open to horses and ponies, mares and geldings, four years and over. Riders any age.
Costumes or traditional allowed. To be judged on the overall picture of elegance presented by horse/pony and rider including appearance, conformation
and individual show.

Working Hunter - to include CHAPS Qualifiers - start 10.30am Judge - Val Garton

11. Working Hunter - Lead rein
/ 10 years and under - jumps 1’9” - The Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony may qualify from
this class, qualifier card to be presented to judge in the ring for signing.

12. Working Hunter - Novice - not exc. 14.0hh - jumps up to 2’6” - The Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony may qualify
from this class, qualifier card to be presented to judge in the ring for signing.

13. Working Hunter - Novice - exc. 14.0hh - jumps up to 2’9” - The Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony may qualify from
this class, qualifier card to be presented to judge in the ring for signing.

14. Working Hunter - Open - not exc. 14.0hh - jumps up to 3'0" - The Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony may qualify from
this class, qualifier card to be presented to judge in the ring for signing.

15. Working Hunter - Open - exc. 14.0hh - jumps up to 3'0" - The Highest Placed CHAPS (UK)

Classes 12 & 13 and 14 & 15 may be amalgamated if insufficient entries

Equestrian Life Open Working Hunter Qualifiers – Open to member and non members – Judge – Val Garton

Please note: In each of the following classes the highest placed 3 competitors not already qualified in each class and with a valid 2010 Qualification
card will qualify for the Championships. You may only qualify once in each class. If you have already qualified, the qualification passes to the next
highest placed.

a) Protective boots, bandages and body protectors may be worn for the jumping phase BUT must be removed for the showing phase.
b) Spurs will only be permitted in the Working Hunter exc. 15hh class
c) No other change of tack is permitted
d) NO CHANGE OF RIDER IS ALLOWED
e) A fall of horse or rider will result in elimination
f) At the Qualifier Shows the height of fences may be up to 3” lower than at the Championships

16. Working Hunter – Mountain & Moorland – any height. –- Open to pure breeds only – Jumps 2’0” to 2’3” - Riders any age but to be a suitable size
and weight for the pony.

17. Open Working Hunter Pony - not to exceed 133cms -.Jumps 2.0’ to 2’6” - Riders not to have attained their 14th birthday on the first January in
the current year

18. Open Working Hunter Pony - exc 133cms not exc 143cms. - Jumps 2’6” to 2’9” - Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st
January in the current year.

19. Open Working Hunter Pony –exceeding 143cms but not exceeding 153cms – Jump 2’9” to 3’.3” - Riders any age but to be a suitable size and
weight for the pony.

20. Open Working Hunter Horse – Horses to exc 153cms – Jump 3.0’ to 3’6” -Riders to have attained their 16th birthday by 1st January in the current
year. The wearing of spurs is allowed.

Championship for all Working Hunter Classes
This is open to competitors placed 1st or 2nd in the following classes:
11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.

Fun Classes - After 1.00pm - Judge TBA

In classes 24 - 29 the Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony may qualify from this class, qualifier card to be presented to judge
in the ring for signing.

UK Riders 2010 ‘Challenge’ Area Qualifier -Open to both Member and Non-members

Dressage – starts 11.00am – Judge – Margaret Lomas

There are 3 levels of Dressage classes split in to Adult and Junior classes. Juniors will be those under 16 years of age on the date of the National Final
(14th August 2010).

Show jumping (main ring) - starts 12.00 noon

There are 4 heights of Show jumping competitions:

37. Restricted Novice - fences up to 0.65m

38. Novice - fences up to 0.75m

39. Intermediate - fences up to 0.85m

40. Open - fences up to 0.95m

All fences will be 0.05m higher at the National finals.
Combinations of horse and rider qualifying for Intermediate or Open show jumping classes of the UK Riders Challenge are not eligible to go forward to
Regional Finals in the Restricted Novice Class.

Novice Ridden Pony Final
– the Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony to qualify. qualifier card to be presented to judge in the
ring for signing. Riders any age but suitable for the height of exhibit (except stallions under 153cms which must be ridden by 14 years old or over riders,
12 years for stallions under 138cms). All exhibits must be shown in snaffle bridle only.

43. Novice Ridden Horse – exc 148cms. This class is also a CHAPS qualifier for the Ponies (UK) Summer Championship – ‘Back to Black’ Novice
Ridden Horse Final
– the Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony to qualify. qualifier card to be presented to judge in the ring for
signing. Open to novice ridden horses. Riders any age but suitable for the height of exhibit (except stallions under 153cms which must be ridden by 14
years old or over riders). All exhibits must be shown in snaffle bridle only.

Please Note: If you are entering classes 42 & 43 for your CHAPS (UK) qualifier the heights for the horses/ponies are as follows:
Class 42 Section A – Non-Native Ponies not exceeding 153cms.
Class 42 Section B – Native/Trad/Cob Ponies not exceeding 148cms.
Class 43 Section A – Non-Native Horses exceeding 153cms.
Class 43 Section B – Native/Trad/Cob Horses exceeding148cms

COLOURED HORSE & PONY SOCIETY (UK) (‘CHAPS (UK)’)

CHAPS (UK) QUALIFIERS

44. CHAPS UK Open Coloured Young Stock Qualifier
– Age 1,2 or 3years (no foals) This class is also a 'Hollyland Stud In Hand Young stock
Qualifier’
– the Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony to qualify - qualifier card to be presented to judge in the ring for signing.

45. CHAPS UK Non Native Open In hand Qualifier – any height – any age – no foals

46. CHAPS UK Native/Cob/Traditional Open In hand Qualifier – any height – any age - no foals. This class is also a CHAPS qualifier for the Ponies
(UK) Summer Championship – ‘Clarendon Coloureds In Hand Final’
– the Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony aged 4
years and over to qualify.

47. CHAPS UK Non Native Pony Open Ridden Qualifier – any type - any height

48. CHAPS UK Native/Cob/Traditional Open Ridden Qualifier – any height

Championship for all Ridden Showing Classes

This open to competitors placed 1st or 2nd in the following classes:

This is open to competitors placed 1st or 2nd in the following classes:
